E-book readers

Adobe Digital Editions. EPUB3 e-book reader for Microsoft Windows and Apple OSX (Mac).

Dolphin EasyReader for Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS and Apple OSX (Mac).

Thorium Reader for Windows and MacOS supports a wide variety of e-book formats, and supports screen readers as well as TTS-functionality using the voices available in the operating system.

Voice Dream for iOS and Mac allows you to read a wide variety of ebook formats, as well as DAISY and MP3 audio books.

@voice for Android supports reading of various text formats and web pages using text-to-speech.

Math

MathType by Wiris (formerly by Design Science). Equation editor for Microsoft Windows and Apple OSX (Mac) for creating accessible math contents in documents, presentations, web pages and more.

EquatIO by TextHelp. Recognises math in scanned documents, including handwritten math. Recognised math objects can be inserted as MathType into other documents.

InftyReader. An Optical Character Recognition (OCR) application for recognising and conversion of scanned scientific documents (including math symbols) into LaTeX, MathML and XHTML.

NVDA will read MathML in major browsers and e-readers using the mathcat addon, install it from the addon store or from https://nsoiffer.github.io/MathCAT/

Braille

Braille in the Portable Embosser Format (PEF) can be embossed using Dotify Studio. Free installers for Windows, Mac OS, Linux and other platforms can be downloaded from the following link: https://github.com/brailleapps/dotify-studio/releases.
